Round 2 - Australian Offshore Superboat Championships

The Australian Offshore Superboat Championships will again be a key feature of Pesmackay.  The multi-million dollar Offshore Superboats will make their way to Mackay at the end of June to compete in Round 2 of the Australian Series.

The hi-octane, adrenalin pumping, action packed offshore racing will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of June at Mackay Marina.

You will be able to get up close to the boats and meet the teams before racing on Saturday and Sunday.

Three classes of boats will race over the weekend, reaching speeds of 250km/hr. 

Saturday will see a pole shoot out and Sunday is the big race day with two half hour races (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).

The course for the race will run parallel to the Harbour Beach providing the general public with a fantastic view of the boats from either the beach or the  Breakwater Wall.

Entry is FREE.  Make sure you come along early to sercure a great viewing spot to enjoy the thunder of V8 engines and the excitement of these fantastic boats at Mackay Marina.
